Khadija shifted to cabin

Khadija Begum Nargis who is now undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in the capital has been shifted to a cabin there from the Intensive Care Units (ICU) of the hospital.

 

Her uncle, Abdul Baset, said she has been shifted to the cabin around 11.30 pm on Wednesday.

 

'It's a rehabilitation process in the treatment,' he said quoting the doctors were saying.

 

Khadija Begum Nargis' health condition is now improving day by day, say Square Hospital's duty doctors.

 

She is recovering gradually, they confirmed.

 

Some days ago, her life support system was opened completely.

 

Earlier on October 5, Badrul Alam, a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit who hacked Sylhet college girl Khadija Begum Nargis, has given confessional statement over the murder attempt.

 

The BCL leader gave the confessional statement before the additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Sharaban Tahura in Sylhet in this regard.

 

On October 3, Khadija Begum Nargis, 23, a student of Sylhet Government Mohila College and daughter of Masuk Miah, a resident of Hausa village in Sadar upazila, was hacked on her way home from college by Badrul Alam, the assistant secretary of SUST unit of BCL.

 

Hearing screams of the victim, locals rescued Khadija and caught Badrul from the spot and handed him over to police after giving him a good thrashing.
