Garo girl rape: Main accused held in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested the prime accused of last year's gang-rape of a Garo woman in Dhaka.

 
RAB-1 detained 26-year-old Rubel from Airport Railway Station area on Friday night, said a text SMS floated to media by the elite force.

Several men hauled a Garo girl in a microbus in Badda area in May 2015 and they took turns to violate her.

Police and RAB arrested two gang-rape suspects within a week. The accused reportedly confessed to their crimes.
