2 indicted over SP Babul’s wife murder case

A Chittagong court today framed the charges against two accused in a case filed over the killing of former police superintendent Babul Akhter’s wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu.
Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Shahe Nur framed the charges against the duo on Tuesday.
Public prosecutor Md Fakhruddin Chowdhury has confirmed the charge framing to media on the day.
The accused two are identified as Ehteshamul Haque Bhola and Monir Hossain.
January 18 was also fixed for hearing the witnesses of the case, according to the sources there.
Earlier the Superintendent of Police Babul Akter was relieved from his duty over the murder incident of his wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu.
Police had released Superintendent of Police Babul Akter after quizzing him in a bid to get more info about the murder of his wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu.
Several suspected killers were also arrested for their involvement with Mitu murder.
On June 5, Mitu, 32, was stabbed and shot dead by unidentified assailants at the port city's GEC intersection on her way to drop her son to school.
