Badrul charged for attempted murder of Khadiza, trial begins Dec 5

A Sylhet court on Tuesday indicted Badrul Alam, the accused in the case filed for attempting to murder college girl Khadiza Begum Nargis over a month ago.

After the charge framing, Judge Saifuzzaman Hiru of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court fixed December 5 for starting the trial of the case with deposition.

Khadiza is now being treated at the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP). She was shifted there from Square Hospital in Dhaka on Monday.

Khadiza, 23,  was chopped by Sylhet Shahjalal Science and Technology University student Badrul on her way back after an examination at Sylhet MC College on October 3 last.

She was first admitted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital. The following day, she was shifted to Square Hospital in Dhaka and kept on life support.

She underwent critical surgical operations one after another in Square Hospital.
