9 get life term for killing journo Manik Shah

A Khulna court has sentenced nine people to life term imprisonment for killing journalist Manik Chandra Saha.

Judge of Khulna divisional speedy trial tribunal M A Rob Howlader handed down the verdict on Wednesday.

The court also acquitted two of the accused in the case.

After nearly a decade of waiting, the verdict of the Ekushey Padak winning journalist murder case has been announced finally.  
The court also acquitted 10 of the accused in another explosive case filed over the same incident.

Manik Saha, a reporter of the Daily Sangbad and the BBC, was killed in a bomb attack near Khulna Press Club on January 15, 2004.
