Shamim Osman casts vote openly

The influential ruling Awami League (AL) lawmaker from Narayangaj-4 Shamim Osman cast his vote publicly during Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) election today.

A photo went viral in the social media site Facebook where Osman was seen showing his ballot paper stamped with ‘Boat’, the election symbol of Awami League.

He cast his vote at Narayanganj Bar Academy polling station around 2:45pm.

According to election rules, showing a ballot paper in public after casting vote is the violation of the election code of conduct..
