Drives on to capture Musa: DMP Commissioner

Law enforcers are conducting drives to arrest ‘Neo JMB’ leader Maynul Musa, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia has said.

The DMP chief told this to journalists while visiting Kakrail Church on the eve of Christmas Day on Sunday morning.

“Musa is a listed criminal, drives are going on to arrest him and I hope that we can capture him within a short time,” Asaduzzaman said.  

“Ashkona raid is not a new incident. It is a part of series raids following Gulshan attack. Militancy won’t survive here in Bangladesh” he said.  

Officials at the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit yesterday told media that Musa was traced in Ashkona area a few days back.

A woman and a teenage boy have blown themselves up to evade arrest during a police raid on a militant den at Ashkona in capital’s Uttara area yesterday.
