7 to be quizzed over Shakil's death

A total of seven staff of Samdado Japanese Cuisine, a restaurant in Gulshan-2 area, where Mahbubul Haque Shakil died, have been taken to the police station to quiz them over the death.
The police, however, did not disclose the names of the staff taken.
Gulshan thana acting officer-in-charge (OC), Sirajul Islam, said that they were taken to the police station to interrogate them over the death.
Mahbubul Haque Shakil, special assistant to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has died on Tuesday. He was 47.
Shakil, a former central leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League, passed away at Gulshan in the capital this noon.
Awami League Joint General Secretary and spokesperson Dipu Moni confirmed the death to Samakal.
Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahabub-ul-Alam Hanif primarily told Samakal that following a massive heart attack he died at Samdado Japanese Cuisine, a restaurant in Gulshan-2.
Informing the death, separate Ministers, secretaries and government high-ups went at the restaurant on the day.
Born on December 20, in 1968, he left behind his wife and a daughter as well as a host of relatives, friends to mourn his death.
The dead former BCL leader's father Advocate Jahirul Hoque Khoka is the incumbent president of Mymensingh district Awami League.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina appointed him as her special assistant in 2014.
