Bike hits Tureen Afroz’s car, 1 held

One held as a motorbike hit the car of Tureen Afroz, a prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), at Palashbari of Gaibandha on Monday (today).

 

The detained is identified as- motorcycle passenger, Rana(14) while  another managed to flee after the incident.

 

She, however, claimed that ‘it was an attack on her’.

 

Md. Mojibur Rahman, the acting officer-in-charge of Palashbari Police Station, has confirmed the incident to Samakal adding, ‘The incident took place around 3.30pm when she was returning from her village town in Nilphamari to Dhaka after completing the last rites program of her father.’

 

Tureen Afroz was safe but some parts of her car damaged in the incident, says the officer.

 

The officer also added, ‘We are investigating into the incident.’
