2 motorcyclists killed in crash with truck in city

Two people were killed as a speeding truck hit the motorcycle they were riding in the capital. 

  
The incident happened in front of Aftab Hotel in Chawkbazar’s Nazimuddin Road area last night.

The deceased were identified as Sany, 20, and Akash, 25. Another motorcyclist Ripon, 20, also sustained injuries in the crash.

Confirming the incident, Chawkbazar Police Station sub-inspector Delwar Hossain said the speeding truck hit the motorcycle in the area, leaving the three riders critically injured.

The three were rushed to the DMCH around 1:30am on Wednesday when the doctors declared Sany and Akash dead, he said.

Police detained the truck driver after the incident, said the SI.
