Women repression case filed against Sunny, his mother

A case has been filed against national cricketer Arafat Sunny and his mother under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.

Nasrin Sultana, who claimed herself as wife of Sunny, filed the case at the court of Judge SM Rezanur Rahman of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-4, on Wednesday.

After the hearing, the judge directed the officer-in-charge (OC) of Mohammadpur Police Station to submit a report before it after an investigation.

On January 5, Nasrin filed a case under the ICT Act accusing Sunny of posting offensive photographs using a fake facebook account.

Police arrested the national cricketer from Aminbazar area of Savar upazila on January 22.

On January 24, Nasrin filed another case against Sunny claiming that he sought Tk 20 lakh dowry.
