Gas cylinder explosion: 9 burnt in Dhaka

Nine people have received burn injuries as a gas cylinder has been exploded in the capital’s old Dhaka.
The explosion happened at Lalbagh area of the Old Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
Injured were taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, after the incident, says Sub-Inspector Md. Bachchu Mia, of the DMCH police checkpost.
Of the burnt, seven are identified as Sabbir, 22; Makbul Hossen, 35; Sabuj, 20; Maruf Hossen, 20; Farzana Panna, 28; Sonam Uddin, 50 and Hazrat Ali, 45.
Major parts of the shop were damaged by the gas cylinder explosion, locals say.
One fire-fighting unit was sent to the spot, said, Central Fire Service Duty officer, Mizanur Rahman.
