Ex-RAJUK chief engineer held

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday arrested a former chief engineer of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) .

Md Emdadul Alam was arrested around 11:00am from capital's Banani on charges of concealing information about his wealth and for acquiring assets beyond known sources of income.

ACC Deputy Director (Public Relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed about the arrest to Samakal.

The ACC filed the case against Emdadul with Ramna Police Station on February 23.

According to the case statement, Emdadul concealed information about his wealth worth Tk 1 crore and 18 lakh while he acquired assets beyond known sources of income worth Tk 87 lakh.
