‘Neo JMB spiritual leader’ held in city

The members of counterterrorism unit arrested Maulana Abul Kashem, a spiritual leader of ‘Neo JMB’, in Dhaka.

A team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested him on Thursday night.

DMP media wing deputy commissioner Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter to Samakal.

According to police, Abul Kashem is a spiritual leader of ‘Neo JMB’ and ameer of a part of the militant outfit.

Further details in this regard will be disclosed at a press briefing at the DMP media centre later in the day.
