NU acting exam controller arrested

National University (NU) acting controller of examinations M Badruzzaman was arrested from city's Mirpur area on Monday in a money embezzlement case.

Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said Liberation War Affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque filled the case with Joybedpur Thana on June 29, 2012.
 
The case statement said M Badruzzaman embezzled Tk 1.63 crore of government giving selection grade to 169 generally appointed candidate in NU illegally.

However, the court directed the ACC to investigate the matter. Meanwhile they arrested three accused out of 13.
