SC upholds order to return Tk 615cr

The Supreme Court (SC) upheld the High Court (HC) order which directed the government to return Tk 615.55 crore to the persons and companies which was realised during 1/11.

A four-member Appellate Division bench led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order dismissing a separate appeal filed by Bangladesh Bank authorities.

Advocate Ahsanul Karim, on behalf of the companies, said the SC directed to return the realized money, though no time boundary was mentioned yet. It would be known after getting the report of Appellate Division.
