Irad Siddique remanded for 2-day

A city court remanded Chowdhury Irad Ahmed Siddique, son of BNP leader Chowdhury Tanvir Ahmed Siddique, for two days in a case over defaming Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Dhaka senior judicial magistrate Afsana Abedin passed the order on Thursday, in response to, a seven-day remand plea by Dhamrai Thana sub-inspector (SI) M Nazmul Haque.

Earlier on February 23, Cyber Crimes Team of Police arrested Chowdhury Irad Ahmed Siddique from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city.

There are several cases against Irad Siddique in different thanas for defaming Bangabandhu.
