Ex-husband arrested in banker Arifa murder

Police arrested former husband of murdered banker Arifun Nesa Arifa from Dhanbari upazila of Tangail district on Friday.

Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police South acting deputy commissioner M Shahidullah confirmed the matter to Samakal.

He said, acting on a tip-off, the DB police conducted a drive in the area and arrested accused Fakhrul Islam Robin from a house in the area in the moning.

On March 16, Robin allegedly stabbed Arifa to death in city's Central Road. A case was filed against Robin on the same night.
