Charges pressed against Arafat Sunny

Police have submitted charge sheet against cricketer Arafat Sunny in a case under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.

Mohammadpur police submitted the charge sheet to the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate SM Masud Zaman on Thursday morning.

Nasrin Sultana, who claims to be Sunny’s wife, filed the case under the ICT Act accusing Sunny of posting offensive photographs using a fake facebook account.

According to the case statement, Sunny opened a fake Facebook account on last June 12 using his phone number and sent an indecent photo of the 23-year-old woman on her Facebook messenger.

On November 25 in 2016, Sunny reportedly did the same and threatened Nasrin.
