Students blockade roads at Farmgate, Bijoy Sarani

The students of various educational institutions along with Ali Hossain's classmates blocked the roads at Farmgate and Bijoy Sarani demanding justice for the death of Ali Hossain, a class 10 student of Tejgaon Government Science School and College.

Ali Hossain was killed in a road crash in front of BG Press on his way to coaching from Kunipara area of the capital to Farmgate  on Sunday.

At around 12 noon on Monday, they first blocked Farmgate under the banner of 'wanting safe roads'. Traffic on one side of Farmgate was blocked due to their barricade.

While contacted, Deputy Commissioner of Tejgaon Division of Traffic Police Saheed Al Masud said, "Students are protesting the death of their classmate. As a result, traffic has stopped at Bojoy Sarani intersection. They are being told to leave the road."
