Prof Nurul Alam made Jahangirnagar University vice chancellor

Professor Md Nurul Alam has been appointment as Jahangirnagar University's new vice chancellor.

According to a notification issued on Tuesday by the Ministry of Education, President Abdul Hamid, who also serves as the university's chancellor, selected him to be the new vice chancellor of JU.

The notification states that Professor Nurul Alam, a professor in the Physics Department, has been appointed for the next four years.

He served as the pro vice chancellor for the university.
