PM attends Joe Biden's reception

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday joined a reception in New York hosted by the US President Joe Biden.

The US president along with his wife hosted the event this evening at American Museum of Natural History in honour of heads of the state and heads of the government who came in New York to attend the 77th UN General Debate.

“Mr and Mrs Biden warmly welcome her (Sheikh Hasina) at the venue,” Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen told newsmen at the press briefing held at the hotel Lotte. 

He said both the leaders talked about different issues, but the foreign minister didn't elaborate it immediately. 

The prime minister invited him (Biden) to visit Bangladesh, he said.
