Age limit extended 39-month for govt jobs except BCS

With the exception of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) test, the government has raised the age requirement for direct recruitment to government services by 39 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This was made disclosure in a gazette notice released Thursday by the Ministry of Public Administration.

According to the notification, job seekers, who reached the highest age limit on March 25, 2020, can apply for government jobs under different categories at ministries, divisions, departments and subordinate offices and statutory and autonomous bodies and nationalised institutions, which were unable to issue recruitment circulars due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prior to the deadline of June 30, 2023, candidates may submit applications for all posts with the exception of BCS.
