Train derailed at Bhatiari, Dhaka-Chittagong train service halted

A passenger train derailed at Bhatiari in Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong on Saturday, halting the train movement on the Dhaka-Chittagong route.

Hasan Mahmud, in-charge of Faujdarhat police outpost, said that four wheels of a compartment derailed at around 10 am after the Bijoy Express train arrived at Bhatiari of Chittagong from Dhaka. 

Following the derailment, train movement on the Dhaka-Chittagong route was halted, he added.
