Dhaka-Mymensingh highway tailback extends to Banani

Traffic congestion on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway has been causing severe agony for commuters traveling the Banani-Gazipur route since early morning of Wednesday.

The traffic on the motorway has caused a backup that has extended all the way to Banani in Dhaka. The worst affected passengers on that route are office workers.

Eyewitnesses reported that starting at 5 am, the vehicle line was getting longer as the day went on. From Tongi's Millgate on the Mymensingh-bound road to Banani and Tongi's Board Bazar on the Dhaka-bound lane, there is a backlog of traffic.
