Arrest warrant issued against Evaly chairman Shamima

The court has issued an arrest warrant against Shamima Nasreen, the chairman of e-commerce company Evaly, in a case of Digital Security Act on the charge of cheating the customers.

In view of an application, Judge Mohammad Ash Shams Jaglul Hossain of Dhaka Cyber Tribunal issued this warrant by denying bail to the accused.

According to court sources, last October 19 was the date for receiving the charge sheet of the case. As Shamima did not appear in the court on that day, the court issued an arrest warrant. At the same time, the next 22nd January was fixed as the date for the hearing on the complaint. The matter was announced on Wednesday.
