Myanmar regrets over border issues

Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) has apologized for shelling within Bangladesh's border and for invading its airspace.

During a flag conference with the Bangladeshi Border Guard (BGB), the Myanmar border force also pledged that similar occurrences would not occur again.

BGB had already voiced its strong opposition to the Myanmar military's such acts.

The flag meeting was held on Sunday at BGB's Rest House in Teknaf, next to Shahpari Island Jetty Ghat. The 5-hour flag meeting came to a close at 3:00pm.
