3 auto-rickshaw passengers killed in Comilla road crash

Three passengers of a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw were killed and three others seriously injured after being hit by a bus near Chandina Sadar Upazila of Comilla on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at around 11 am on Monday.

Mainamati Highway Crossing Police Station OC Akul Chandra Biswas said, “A Chittagong-bound bus hit the CNG and six passengers, including the CNG driver, were thrown on the road. Two people died on the spot and another passenger died after being taken to the hospital.”

The injured were taken to hospital, he said, adding that the death toll may rise further.
