Record 182 dengue deaths in 2022

There have now been 182 dengue deaths reported in Bangladesh this year, and there have been 820 hospitalizations in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.

Hospitalizations for the new cases were 450 in Dhaka and 370 elsewhere in the nation.

With the most recent addition, this year's dengue cases and fatalities surpassed 2000, the year the government first formally began maintaining records on dengue.

The nation earlier this year saw 1,01,354 dengue cases and 179 fatalities from the virus disease, setting a record.

A total of 5,551 dengue cases and 93 fatalities were reported in 2000 by the health authorities.
