Metrorail inauguration in last week of December

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Managing Director (MD) MAN Siddique said that the country's first metro rail will be inaugurated in the last week of December.
He said this to reporters after the signing ceremony of an agreement on the land development of Metrorail (MRT Line-1) depot area at a hotel in the capital on Wednesday.
It is known that initially the metro rail will run on the line from Uttara to Agargaon.
Metrorail (MRT Line-6) fare is fixed at Tk 5 and minimum fare is Tk 20 per km. The fare from Uttara to Kamalapur will be Tk 100. TNo fare will be charged for the martyred freedom fighters.
