Pori Moni testifies against 3 in attempted rape, murder case

Actress Pori Moni on Tuesday testified against three people in a case filed for allegedly attempting to rape and murder her.

Judge Hemayet Uddin of Nari O Shishu Nirjatan Daman Tribunal-9 recorded her deposition.

The court set January 11 as the next date of the testimony as it wasn't over.

One of the accused, Tuhin Siddique Omi, was present in court.

Savar Model Police Station Inspector (investigation) Mohammad Kamal Hossain and also the Investigation Officer of the case filed the charge-sheet against the trio on September 6, 2021. The tribunal on December 13, 2021, accepted the charge-sheet.

Pori Moni filed the case against Nasir and Omi and four other unnamed persons with Savar Model Police Station on June 14 for allegedly trying to rape and kill her as she was spending time with her friends in Uttara Boat club on June 9.
