BRUR VC for readiness to face 4IR challenges

In order to develop Bangladesh by the year 2041, Professor Dr. Md. Hasibur Rashid, vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR), has underlined the importance of being ready for the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution (4IR).

In the modern era of information and technology, there is concurrency across all fields. The development of Bangladesh is progressing in pace with that of the rest of the world, he said. As a result, he said, each of us must be prepared from our various locations.

The university's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) presented a training session on "Professional Conduct and Integrity of Officials" on Tuesday in the Academic Building's Virtual Classroom. He served as the keynote speaker.

Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Dr. Sarifa Salwa Dina and its Treasurer Professor Dr. Mojib Uddin Ahmad attended the occasion as special guests, with Director of the IQAC Professor Dr. Abu Kalam Md. Farid Ul Islam serving as the chair.

The workshop's resource people included former registrar of Jahangirnagar University Abu Bakar Siddique and Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Sabirul Islam.

The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and IQAC Additional Director Md. Shariful Islam provided a welcoming address, which was moderated by Md. Abdul Latif.

To make the university stand out in the nation, the vice chancellor advised the participating officials to participate voluntarily in all events.

He added and expressed his appreciation, "For this, everyone has to work truly from their various roles."
