5.1 magnitude earthquake jolts Dhaka

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake, according to the US Geological Survey  (USGS), jolted Dhaka and several other parts of the country Monday morning.

The earthquake was initially felt at 9:02 am. It was 10 kilometers beneath the surface of the Bay of Bengal, according to the report.

There haven't been any casualties reported as of yet.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department stated that the earthquake was moderate in intensity and that the epicentre was 520 kilometers from the Agargaon Seismic Center in Dhaka.
