Vehicular movement in Dhaka will be regular on December 10

Public transportation in Dhaka city and on inter-district routes would operate as usual on December 10.

The decision came from a meeting of workers' leaders and representatives from several transport companies on Thursday in Dhaka.

Khandaker Enayet Ullah, general secretary of the Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association, presided over the meeting.

Authorities resolved at today's meeting that on December 10 traffic on inter-district routes and in Dhaka city will be as usual.

To guarantee that there are no obstacles in the way of vehicles, the administration has been asked to step up security at key locations in the city.

More than 100 owners and employees from all of Dhaka's transportation businesses, including the owners and worker leaders of Sayedabad Bus Terminal, Mohakhali Bus Terminal, Gulistan TBC Road, and Phulbaria Bus Terminal, attended the conference.

The BNP's divisional rally is slated for December 10 in Dhaka.

Prior to other divisional rallies of the political party, transport owners and workers had called strikes in Barishal, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Sylhet with a variety of demands.
