Commuters suffer due to little transports

Even though the owners of the vehicles came forward to say that their services would continue as usual in the wake of the clash between police and BNP activists on Wednesday at Naya Paltan that left one man dead, the number of intra-city public transportation vehicles on the streets of Dhaka has significantly decreased.

Due to this, commuters, particularly office workers, experienced severe hardship and were required to pay a high fee for alternate modes of transportation.

While visiting Paltan, Shahbagh, Farmgate, Mohakhali, Shyamoli and Kalyanpur of the capital have seen such images only a few public transports were seen to ply on the city streets.

BNP's mass rally is scheduled to be held in Dhaka on December 10.
