Dengue fever: 2 dead, 125 hospitalised in a day

At least two dengue patients died and 125 were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning, said Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The new ones brought the total number of fatalities to 271, it said, adding that the current tally of cases is 61,263.

There have been 167 reported deaths so far, with 26 in Cox's Bazar, 37 in Chattogram, 11 in Barishal, 8 in Khulna, 6 in Mymensingh, 5 in Rajshahi, 2 in Narail, and 1 each in Narsingdi, Kushtia, Pabna, Bagerhat, Khagrachhari,, Bogura, Madaripur, and Feni.

While 748 individuals are still receiving treatment, a total of 60,244 patients have previously been let leave from hospitals.
