EC monitoring Rangpur city polls on CC cameras

The Election Commission is monitoring the Rangpur City Corporation polls through CC cameras sitting in the election building at Agargaon in Dhaka.

Election Commissioners Ahsan Habib Khan, Md Alamgir and Anisur Rahman have been monitoring the election from the control room since Tuesday morning.

DPD (Communications) of IDEA Project of Election Commission Secretariat Squadron Leader Shahriar Alam said that the situation of the polling station is being monitored through CC cameras sitting on the fifth floor of the Election Commission.

Polling has been going on peacefully since 8:30 am on the day, he said, adding that the commission did not notice any untoward incident, disturbance or technical error anywhere.

Polling will continue till 4:30 pm without any break.
