Daulatdia-Paturia, Aricha-Kazirhat ferry services resume after 6.15hrs

The ferry movement disrupted for poor visibility due to dense fog resumed after 6.15 hours on Aricha-kazirhat route in the river Jamuna, officials said Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia. Ghat

On the otherhand, ferry movement on Paturia- Daulatdia routes on the Padma resumed after 5.30 hours.

BIWTC's deputy general manager Shah Mohammad Khaled Newaz said dense fog blanketed the Aricha-Kazirhat river routes on the river Jamuna, forcing them to suspend the ferry movements at 2.50 am. 

The services resumed after 6.40 hours at 9.30 am on Tuesday.

Officials said the fog simultaneously forced suspension of movement of other vessels like engine-run country boats and launches both the river routes.
