Metro rail earns Tk46. 80 lakh in 5 days

In five days till Monday, the income of Metro rail has been Tk46.80 lakh, according to Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).

DMTCL sources said 32, 809 single journey tickets were sold in five days. The price of each ticket is Tk60. As a result, the revenue in this sector is Tk19,68,540.

On the other hand, a total of 4,804 MRT pass tickets were sold in the last five days. The price of each ticket is Tk500. As a result, the income in this sector is Tk24,02,000.

The Metro rail was opened to the public on December 29.
