Power will come from India in March: Nasrul

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that electricity will come to Bangladesh from the Adani Power Plant in Jharkhand, India next March.

He said this after inspecting the 1,600 MW power plant under construction of Adani Power Limited on Tuesday.

The Minister of State for Power said that a dedicated transmission line has been constructed to provide electricity from India to Bangladesh. It will be possible to import electricity from mid-March.

He said that 750 MW power from the first unit could be available by mid-March.
