Former information minister Habib Ullah Khan passes away

Former minister Habib Ullah Khan has passed away on Saturday. He was 88.

He breathed his last at 5:46pm at Evercare Hospital in the city, said a press release.

He left behind his only daughter, grandchildren, and numerous relatives.

He was a former MP and information minister in the late 70s and early 80s he was the jute minister.

He was the first ambassador to South Africa. His wife, Salma Khan, was also an ambassador to Indonesia. She passed away in July 2022.

Their only daughter, living Washington, is now on her way to Dhaka to attend the funeral.
