Mild cold wave sweeping parts of country

Mild cold wave is sweeping over Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions and the districts of Faridpur, Madaripur, Manikgonj, Moulvibazar, Cumilla, Feni, Jashore, Chuadanga, Kushtia, Barishal and Bhola and it may abate from some places.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, according to a Met Office release here on Friday.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the river basins and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places.

Night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Ridge of Sub-continental high extends up to Bihar & adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 30.2 degree Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature today was recorded by 08.0 degree Celsius at Dinajpur.
