4 Bangladeshi expats killed in Qatar road crash

At least four Bangladeshi men were killed and two others injured on Qatar's Al Shamal Road at around 5am on Friday.

According to media reports, the deceased were identified as Md Shakil, Md Yousuf, Md Rahat, Md Shirajul.

The driver of the expatriates' car lost control over its steering and hit another private car from behind, leaving two of the men dead on the spot. 

Both Md Jamal Uddin and Habibur Rahman, who were hurt, are Nayaranganj natives, and they have been taken to Doha Hamad Hospital.

Md Shakil, Md Yusuf, Md Rahat, and Md Shirajul were all from the Brahmanbaria district, whereas Md Shirajul was from Moulvibazar.

Md Rahat was buried on Saturday at a nearby cemetery. The rest of three victims' bodies have been kept in the mortuary of Doha's Hamad General Hospital.

The bodies of the three will shortly be sent to their families in Bangladesh, according to Dr. Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman, Charge d'Affaires of the Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar.
