Bag factory in Mongla EPZ catches fire

A fire has broken out in a bag factory in Mongla EPZ around 3:30 pm on Tuesday.

However, no casualties have been reported in this incident yet.

Arbesh Ali, Senior Station Officer of Mongla Bandar Fire Service said that three units of the fire service went to the spot and were working to control the fire. 

The fire is initially believed to have started from a short circuit, he added.

Mahabub Ahmed Siddique, Executive Director of Mongla EPZ said, “There was a sudden fire in the Number 1 factory of a company called VIP Bag in EPZ. Being informed, the workers came out from the factory quickly. However, it is not known how the fire happened.”
