467 die in traffic accidents last month

A total of 467 people were killed and 761 injured in 447 traffic accidents last month,  according to Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity.

The organization said motorcycles were involved in 154 crashes last month that resulted in 159 killings and 82 injuries.

A total of 39 persons lost their lives and seven were injured in rail-related accidents during this time, it said.

Furthermore, 14 riverine accidents resulted in 16 killings, 27 injuries.
