4 killed in microbus cylinder explosion in Trishal

Four passengers, including two women, were killed and seven others injured in a microbus gas cylinder explosion at around 2.30 am on Monday when the driver of the microbus lost control over its steering and fell into a ditch in Rangamati area of Raghamara in Trishal on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.

Trishal Fire Service station officer Abul Kalam said, “The microbus was going to Dhaka from Dhobaura upazila in Mymensingh. On information of the accident, the fire service personnel went to the spot and rescued the injured. The injured persons were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. One of them is in critical condition.

The casualty was not immediately identified.
