45 arrested in DMP's anti-narcotics drive

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained 45 people for allegedly participating in drug sales and consumption during the course of the previous day, up to 6 am on March 13.

The DMP's police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign throughout the city's several areas, seizing drugs and detaining drug dealers and abusers, according to a DMP statement released Monday.

They were found to be in possession of 925 pieces of Yaba tablets, 725.19 grams of heroin, 8.95 kilograms of cannabis, and 28 pieces of injectable drugs, according to the statement.
