PM Hasina opens another 50 model mosques

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday has inaugurated 50 model mosques along with Islamic cultural centres across the country.

She opened those joining virtually in the third phase from her official Ganabhaban.

Out of the 564 mosques being constructed nationwide at a cost of Taka 9435 crore, the premier has already dedicated 150 of them with the addition of the new ones.

She previously inaugurated 50 mosques, with the first phase beginning on June 10, 2021, and the second phase beginning on January 16, 2019.

By June 2024, all of the mosques and Islamic cultural centers that are still under construction should be finished.
