16 killed as bus falls into ditch in Madaripur

At least 16 people were killed and 30 other injured when a Dhaka-bound passenger bus fell into a ditch on the Padma Bridge Expressway in Kutubpur area of Shibchar upazila in Madaripur district on Sunday morning.

Officer-in-Charge of Shibchar Highway Police OC Abu Naeem Md Mofazzel Haque said,  "There were many casualties in this accident. Rescue work is going on. Details will be informed later."
