Body formed to probe into Madaripur bus accident

A 4-member committee led by an additional magistrate has been formed by Madaripur district administration to probe into Madaripur’s Kutubpur bus accident that left 20 people dead and over 20 injured.

The body was asked to submit the report within three working days, Madaripur deputy commissioner Rahima Khaton told media.

An additional superintendent of police and representatives of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and Accident Research Institute were included in the probe body.

The local administration also announced financial assistance of Tk 25,000 each of the families of the deceased.

The local government also declared that each family of the deceased would receive Tk 25,000 in financial aid.
